FAITH FORMATION
TEENS & TWEENS
Camp Mokule'ia
Faith formation equips and engages young people to participate in the life, ministries, and practices of the congregation; and to assume leadership in congregational and youth activities.

Our 5th - 7th grade Youth Group meets on a monthly basis to have fun and conversation. If your child is interested in joining us, please contact hncparish@gmail.com
Located on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu, Camp Mokule'ia began providing children and youth with summer camp experiences in 1947. Camp Mokule'ia offers Residential Camp, Day Camp, and Family Camp programs.

While at camp, campers have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with peers, play games, sing songs, gain confidence from trying new things, and learn more about themselves and the world around them. Experiencing the beauty of God's creation and living in genuine Christian community provide meaningful opportunities for spiritual transformation with the support of our caring counselors and staff. Campers of all (or no) faith backgrounds are welcome.

Camp Mokule'ia is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Hawaii.

ADULT FORMATION & EDUCATION
We have regular adult education programming which can be found in our weekly Banyan Tree newsletter. Click HERE to view the Banyan Tree newsletters.

We also offer Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation services to adults previously baptized in another Christian faith.
RECEPTION
Reception is reserved for those who have already been confirmed in another denomination. This is a way of recognizing and honoring those who have made a mature confession of faith and welcome them into the fellowship of the Episcopal Church. They are also presented to the Bishop during the confirmation ceremony.

REAFFIRMATION
Reaffirmation is for people who are already confirmed in the Episcopal Church, but are presented to the Bishop during the service of Confirmation to "reaffirm" their Christian vows. These may be people who have been away from the church for a period of time and want to make a new beginning; others may sense that they are at a new stage in their spiritual lives and want to affirm this.
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation is the adult affirmation of our baptismal vows and commitment to Christ. There is no age requirement; the decision is determined by each individual as they are led by the Holy Spirit. Confirmation classes are normally planned in conjunction with the island-wide Regional Confirmation Ceremony conducted by the Episcopal Diocese of Hawaii that usually takes place in the spring.
